Okyeame Kwame Nominated For VGMA Artiste Of The Decade.

As part of their 20th anniversary, the Vodafone Ghana Music Award is rewarding an artiste who has been outstanding for the past 10 years.

This is just as they did when they celebrated their 10th anniversary.

They have therefore released the list of artistes who have for the past years distinguished themselves in their craft.

Okyeame Kwame has been nominated alongside Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Samini, Joe Mettle, No Tribe, Efya and Becca.

Kwame who won the Artiste of the Year in 2009 has been very consistent with his work and has built a solid brand that has made him more relevant and visible.

He has won awards internationally including the Obama Humanitarian Award and key to the city of Cincinnati.

The Rap Dacta has released successful albums, played major shows and has embarked on social responsibility programmes like the Hepatitis B project and as Climate Change Ambassador has toured 52 communities in the Western and Brong Ahafo Regions to educate people on the need to preserve the environment.

The Made in Ghana ambassador is preparing his Made in Ghana album on April 20, 2019 at the +233 Jazz Bar and Grill.

He has also been nominated in the 2019 VGMA for the Record of the Year category with the song ‘Made in Ghana’ which features Kidi.
