Saying The Huge Population In Nigeria Amounts To Our Huge Streams Is Invalid – Laycon

Nigerian singer cum rapper and songwriter, born Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe popularly known by his stage name as Laycon has said revealed that users of music streaming platforms in the country is not up to 6% of its total population.

he said.

According to the Fierce Nation frontline act, there are a lot of things that can be done with music which he believes a lot of people have not explored yet.

”There are lot of things that can be done with music that I feel a lot of people have not explored yet.”

he added.

Speaking in an interview with Kharyne Yalley on Hitz FM’s ‘DaybreakHitz’, the ‘Fierce’ hitmaker described as invalid, perception by many that the huge Nigerian population amounts to huge streams of its artistes on music streaming platforms.

”Saying the population in Nigeria amounts to our huge streams is invalid. The people who use digital streaming platform in Nigeria do not make more than 5% of the population in Nigeria.”

laycon explained.

He added;

”We do have royalty systems in Nigeria. Just that it’s a growing industry.”
