Stonebwoy will continue his “Therapy” 2022 summer festival Europe and America tour on Friday (July 29).
The multiple award-winning Ghanaian international reggae, dancehall & afrobeats artiste’s heavily patronized tour, which has 8 scheduled dates, will continue with a performance at the Uppsala Reggae Festival in Sweden on Friday (July 29), and follow with four dates into August—averaging every weekend.
Now known in recent times as 1GAD, the Ghanaian musician will perform at African Music Festival on 6th August in Germany and Kultureland Festival — 7th August in Toronto. It continues in France at No Logo Festival on 12th August before wrapping it up in Netherlands on August 13th at Reggae Sundance Festival.
Meanwhile, the 2015 BET Best International Act and 4-Time Best Reggae/Dancehall Act in Africa had already performed at seven international music festivals earlier this year, most notably Planet Afropunk Live in the United States and City Splash Festival in the United Kingdom, before announcing his all-new summer 2022 tour in June. The tour saw him deliver noteworthy performances at some renowned festivals, including Summer Jam Festival in Cologne and Afrobeats Festival in Berlin.
The tour is being held in support of his most recent single, “Therapy,” which was released on May 3 through his new Universal Music Group divisions Def Jam Recordings, 0207 Def Jam, and Def Jam Africa. The song is a delicate pop number that blends R&B and soul and speaks of romantic love. It precedes Album 5, which is set to be released later this year.
At just 34 years old, Stonebwoy has blazed a trail as one of Africa’s most awarded and lauded artists to date. Described in high-praise terms such as ‘king’ and ‘master of his craft’ by his peers in the industry, the man has the Midas touch when it comes to the winning hit-making formula, as his many number 1 singles will testify.
